The fact that James Moser is back lifting is news akin to learning that you are about to gain 40kg on your total. AKA, this is some damn good news.
A lot of you probably don't know/remember James, but you gon' learn today. James was an astonishing teenage lifter, snatching 165 in competition at the age of 17/18 and completing duck walks around the platform better than anyone. Having taken an 8 year hiatus from lifting he is back!
He was coached by his dad Jim Moser, but also spent a lot of time under the coaching of Glenn Pendlay. I spoke to Glenn last week about James and he is extremely excited to see him back. He told me that not only is James the best athlete he has ever coached, he also has more promise than almost anyone. Apparently after 8 years of not training at all, it took him all of 2 1/2 months to snatch 160kg upon returning to training...
If you want to train with James, he is taking part in one of Glenn's summer camps this June. Tickets are only $299 which is amazing for a week of double days with Glenn as coach and James as a training partner.
