The 69 kg Olympic silver medalist who now competes as a 67 kg lifter is one of the few lifters that falls in the ‘best of the best’ category who is still yet to place a total during the first qualifying period. He heads to the 2019 European Championships with a 330 kg entry total, 10 kg more than his nearest rival and 21 kg less than his Olympic performance of 163/188 kg.
Despite his relatively low public profile we have managed to glimpse his current training level due to the video he posted yesterday of a 140 kg snatch plus three above the knee hang snatches! It looks like Daniyar is in terrific shape as evidenced not only by this 140 snatch complex but also by the 154 kg snatch that he hit at the Fajr Cup last month, 2kg more than the best snatch from the 67 kg class at the 2018 World Championships.
Daniyar Ismayilov has a private Instagram account and so if you want to see the lift then head over to Daniyar’s instagram and give him a follow!
