Jon North Interview | Understanding the Technical Model of the Pull

Jon North rose to fame in the weightlifting world a decade ago, in part due to his charismatic and extreme training videos, but also due to his relatively contentious technical videos. With terms like ‘superman pull’, ‘horses out of a gate’, and the ‘arched angel’, Jon has impacted the way many teach the lifts and has produced a team of dedicated athletes under this technical model.

But what is the technical model and how does the ‘arm-bend’ relate to the pull?

In this episode of the Weightlifting House podcast we tried to nail down a few more concrete definitions and consistent positions in Jon’s technical model, as well as to better understand Jon’s thoughts on the early arm-bend.
