The IWF Executive Board has voted to extend the terms of reference that sideline President Tamás Aján in favour of new Acting President Ursula Garza Papandrea.
Originally, Aján was to step back for three months, ending in mid-April. This would enable an investigation into allegations of corruption at the IWF. The updated document extends the period during which Papandrea will carry out many of the responsibilities of the President for two months to 19th June 2020.
The Executive Board also extended the terms of reference for the IWF Oversight and Integrity Commission to have it continue to consider the corruption allegations until 19th June.
